Cleaning Steps for Dry Cleaning and Laundry Professional
cleaning involves many different operations, all performed by skilled people
and designed to give your garments a fresh and clean appearance. Procedures
include:
1. Checking the care label for instructions and fiber content
2. Classifying the garment according to fabric type, colour and degree of
soiling
3. Removing spots and stains using special equipment and stain removal
techniques
4. Dry cleaning only if so labeled
5. Reapplying any sizing, water repellency or other finishes when necessary
6. Finishing the garment on professional pressing equipment to restore its
original shape and appearance.
7. Replacing buttons or performing minor repairs as necessary
8. Packaging the garment in protective wrapping
Along with these basic procedures, CaraClean offers additional services such as
garment storage, cleaning furs and leathers, rug cleaning, drapery cleaning,
smoke removal, pillow cleaning, shirt and family laundry, wedding gown
preservation, and alterations and repairs.

Items are classified as special if they are very
expensive, delicate and/or need to be dry cleaned separately. These items can
show up as a wedding dress, an antique lace blouse (we usually hand wash and
hang dry these), evening dress and designer clothing. Because of the value of
such items only Mr. Osmani, senior consultant with CaraClean with over 40 years
experience decides the method of cleaning, the length of the dry cleaning or
wash cycle, the drying time and a hold load of other good stuff; not
written in any guide or learnet in a one month course!

If your item is dry cleanable it will have one of the first five symbols below.
If it is not dry cleanable ("DO NOT DRY CLEAN") then the item care label will
have a circle with a cross like the last symbol.
If a care label goes missing then we can try contacting the
designer/manufacturer for you. We will dry clean an item only if the care
label says it is ok to do so; even if you choose laundry!

Our dry cleaning prices are available from the main menu from our home page;
simply click on the dry cleaning button; green button with white circle. Our
dry cleaning prices include free minor repairs and free re-cleaning if the
stain does not come out the first time! All prices are vat exclusive.

As a full service dry cleaner, we like to send
out all garments fully finished. However; If you do not care about having your
items pre -spotted or pressed (ironed) and simply want them dry cleaned then
contact us. We will charge you £3 per kg. with a 10kg. minimum. So weigh your
bag of dry cleaning at home and compare it with hour prices for individual dry
cleanable items and see how much you can save. This service is also good for
when you have a moth or bug infestation; dry cleaning kills all moths and bugs!

Our wedding dress cleaning service
includes an acid free box to store your dress for the longest time. Prices
start from £80. Please contact us to discuss your particular cleaning and
preservation needs.
